Originally from Ottawa, Christopher Goddard is a composer and pianist currently based in Montreal. As a composer, he has written for a wide variety of ensembles and soloists, including most recently TAK ensemble, AndPlay Duo, the Guidonian Hand, and the Nouvel Ensemble Modern as part of their International Forum for young composers. As a performer and advocate of contemporary music, he has worked with leading presenters of new music, including Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, Columbia Composers, the Wet Ink Ensemble, TACTUS, Penn Composers Guild, Samos Young Artist Festival and the Lucerne Festival Academy. He holds degrees in composition, theory and contemporary piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music, Rice University and McGill University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in composition with John Rea at McGill University. |
